Pakistan named 15-member Pakistan women’s squads for the Women’s Asia Cup and 20th Asian Games, with Fatima Sana returning as captain for both tournaments.
Fatima missed the recent T20I series against Sri Lanka because of commitments in The Hundred. She will now lead Pakistan in Dubai and Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
The Women’s Asia Cup will run from August 28 to September 13 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan will compete in Group A with India, Thailand and Hong Kong, China.
Pakistan will face Thailand on September 1, India on September 5 and Hong Kong, China on September 7. All three matches start at 7:30 pm Pakistan time.
At the 20th Asian Games, Pakistan will meet Thailand in the quarter-final on September 17 at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi. The medal matches are scheduled for September 22.

Pakistan won gold in women’s cricket at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games. The team finished fourth at the 2022 edition.
Twelve players feature in both squads, including Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Tuba Hassan, Nashra Sundhu and Shawaal Zulfiqar. Najiha Alvi, Waheeda Akhtar and Sadia Iqbal are in the Asia Cup squad.

Aliya Riaz, Tasmia Rubab and Humna Bilal will join the Asian Games squad. Pakistan will hold a training camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore from August 16 to 25.
