The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts even hotter days this weekend, with temperatures expected to exceed 37°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Karachi’s temperature reached 36.9°C on Friday, causing considerable heat, particularly in the afternoon. The morning recorded a minimum temperature of 21.1°C. However, the below-normal wind speeds intensified the afternoon heat.
Karachi Weekend Weather Forecast
The PMD has warned residents to prepare for warmer conditions over the weekend. The Early Warning Centre predicts northwesterly winds from Balochistan may blow across the city from the late morning to early afternoon over the next one to two days. Sea breezes are expected to resume by the afternoon, providing some relief.

Despite the rising temperatures, the Met Office has stated that low humidity levels will likely prevent any significant increase in heat intensity. This means the weather will remain hot but not excessively humid.
The heatwave is affecting more than just Karachi. Other regions in Sindh and Balochistan are also experiencing hot and dry weather conditions. On Friday, Sukkur recorded a temperature high of 43°C, followed by Panjgur at 41°C and Hyderabad at 40°C.
