The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in Karachi as a westerly wind system is expected to affect the city from Tuesday through Wednesday.

According to the department, light rainfall is expected overnight on December 30. Humidity levels currently stand at around 76 per cent, while light north-easterly winds continue to blow across the metropolis.

The PMD said Karachi’s maximum temperature on Monday is expected to range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. Over the next 24 hours, weather conditions are likely to remain dry during the day, with cooler temperatures expected at night.

In a separate outlook, the Regional Meteorological Centre Balochistan warned of widespread rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall across several districts of Balochistan from December 29 to December 31.

Snowfall is also likely in the province’s mountainous and upper regions during this period. On Monday, cold and dry conditions are expected to persist across most areas, with severe cold continuing in northern Balochistan.
