New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a rally in Suffern, New York, drawing a public reaction from teammate Abdul Carter.
Dart appeared Friday at Rockland Community College before Trump spoke at an event tied to Republican Representative Mike Lawler, according to The Guardian and Yahoo Sports. Dart led the crowd in “Go Big Blue” chants and called it an honour to attend.
The quarterback introduced Trump as “the 45th and 47th president of the United States.” Trump then praised Dart as a “future Hall of Famer,” while speaking about the player’s build and athletic profile.
Carter responded on social media after a video of the appearance circulated. Yahoo Sports reported that the linebacker wrote, “thought this sh** was AI, what we doing man,” in reply to the clip.
Dart had not issued a public response to Carter’s post as of the latest reports. The Guardian said the moment drew wider attention because both players are viewed as major pieces of the Giants’ future.
The Giants selected Carter with the No. 3 overall pick and Dart with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to the team’s official website.
