Pakistan’s former world champion, Jansher Khan, has been inducted into the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Hall of Fame.
Alongside Jansher, Malaysian squash legend Nicol David was also honoured as the newest PSA Hall of Fame member during a special induction evening at the Hong Kong Football Club on Sunday.
Jansher and Nicol are the third and fourth players, respectively, to receive this prestigious recognition, introduced earlier this year to celebrate the game’s most influential figures, past and present. Remarkably, Pakistan has had two male players inducted, Jahangir Khan being the first and New Zealand’s Susan Devoy the second.
Congratulations to @NicolDavid and Jansher Khan, the third and fourth players to be inducted into the PSA Hall Of Fame! 👏

Jansher Khan has a record eight World Open titles and six British Open titles. He reached a remarkable 118 finals and won 99 titles throughout his career. He also held the world number-one ranking for 97 months.
Reflecting on his induction, Jansher expressed his happiness, noting that Hong Kong, where he won eight Hong Kong Opens, is like his second home. “Hong Kong is really the best place for me,” he said. “I’m very happy to be here, to see old friends, and it’s an honour to receive this award.”
PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough praised both players, saying, “Nicol and Jansher are two of the most iconic figures in squash history. Nicol’s nine unbroken years at number one will likely never be surpassed, while Jansher’s records in the men’s game are extraordinary. We are proud to celebrate both of them.”
Men’s World No. 1 Ali Farag also honoured Jansher, calling him “the greatest squash player of all time.” Farag added, “Tonight, we celebrate your victories and the legacy you’ve left behind. Thank you for inspiring generations of players and showing us all ‘poetry in motion.'”
