Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday for a state visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Foreign Office said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan on June 23 with a high-level delegation of ministers and senior officials. It will be his second visit to Pakistan as Iran’s president, according to the Foreign Office.
Pezeshkian will call on President Asif Ali Zardari during the visit. He will also meet the Senate chairman, the National Assembly speaker, the deputy prime minister and the foreign minister.
The Iranian president will hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Foreign Office said the two sides will review bilateral relations and discuss cooperation in trade, energy, border security, people-to-people exchanges and regional connectivity.
The visit will also cover diplomatic engagements after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency also reported that Pezeshkian was scheduled to visit Pakistan on Tuesday.
The Foreign Office said the visit reflected Pakistan and Iran’s commitment to deepen historic and cultural ties.
It said both countries shared an aspiration for peace, stability and sustainable progress in the region.
