India’s Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar arrived in Pakistan on his two-day visit, in yet another bid to resume the stalled bilateral dialogue process.
According to Foreign Office, the secretary arrived in Islamabad this morning leading a delegation of his country. He was welcomed by officials of Indian High Commission and Pakistan Foreign Office.
S. Jaishankar, during his visit, will hold meeting with Pakistani counterpart Aizaz Chaudhry to discuss bilateral relations as well as affairs pertaining to South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation (Saarc) organization.
Reports said Jaishankar is also likely to meet Prime Minister’s Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, and Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi. He is also expected to call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
