An Indian Air Force plane crash was reported Saturday at Jorhat in Assam, India, after a Russian-made Antonov An-32 met with an accident while landing, the military said.
The air force said the aircraft crashed at an air force station in the country’s remote northeast. It did not provide casualty details or say how many people were on board.
The military said a court of inquiry was being constituted to determine the cause of the accident.
NDTV broadcast images from the crash site showing a thick black plume of smoke and the aircraft apparently broken into pieces.
