The investigation into the allegations of grace marking during the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) retest, conducted by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), has concluded.
A special nine-member committee from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) prepared the investigation report, ready to be submitted to the high court.
The inquiry was launched following candidates’ claims that the retest included unproven grace marking. Over 12,500 students nationwide participated in the retest, which was held on December 30, 2024. SZABMU ensured the integrity of the examination by adhering to the standard procedures for competitive exams, which include rigorous pre- and post-exam analyses.
