The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiated inquiries involving students who scored 97% on the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) for entry into government medical and dental colleges and universities in Karachi.
FIA’s Cyber Crime Cell in Karachi has officially summoned these students following the issuance of notifications. The queries revolve around the extraordinarily high scores achieved, which have raised suspicions of possible test paper leaks.
In a formal notice, the FIA specified that these students must appear at the Cyber Crime Circle on November 1st at noon. The notification expressed doubts about the feasibility of attaining such high scores under normal circumstances and suggested possible knowledge of the test’s content beforehand.

This action is grounded in legal protocols, with proceedings to follow based on the evidence compiled. All students involved are currently enrolled in various senior secondary boards.

This development follows a recent directive from the Sindh High Court, which mandated a re-administration of the MDCAT within four weeks due to reported irregularities. The court also questioned the effectiveness of a committee previously ordered to investigate these allegations, hinting at concerns over its operational efficacy.
