The federal budget has been delayed and is now likely to be presented on June 10 instead of June 5, parliamentary.
The sources reported by Geo News, Pakistan, said the government wants to pass key legislation before the budget session. They said the proposed laws would carry major implications for the upcoming federal budget.
The Pakistan Peoples Party, a key government ally, is opposing the proposed amendments. Sources said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had already conveyed a clear message on the issue during his recent speech in Shigar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan.

Parliamentary sources said planned changes for the next financial year may not be possible if the amendments are not passed before the budget session.
Important personalities have been tasked with persuading the PPP leadership to end the deadlock, the sources said.
The government’s other coalition partner, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, has also attached conditions to its support for the budget.
Sources said MQM-P leader Farooq Sattar last week linked budget approval to the reappointment of Kamran Tessori as Sindh governor.
