The additional District and Sessions Judge West Maqbool Ahmed Memon earlier today flatly refused to accept a copy of joint investigation team(JIT) report in Baldia Town factory fire case and ordered authorities to present original report in next hearing.
During the hearing of Baldia Town factory fire case, the court reissued non-bailable arrest warrant of fugitive Mansoor, the General Manager of the ill-fated factory.
The court expressed annoyance when a 214-page copy of JIT’s report was presented before the judge and ordered authorities to present original report of the investigation in next hearing.
The court also ordered authorities concerned to take action against investigation officer in the case Jahanzaib.
The investigation officer appeared before the court later than the due time upon which the court reprimanded him. The court adjourned the hearing till May 28.
Over 250 people were killed while at least 600 injured in the fire incident in Baldia Town. (INP)
