Letterboxd disabled comments on an Instagram video featuring actor Megan Fox and director Karyn Kusama after users criticised Fox’s appearance.
The platform released the pair’s “Four Favourites” segment this month. They recorded it during a special screening of “Jennifer’s Body” at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on October 25, 2025.
Fox’s supporters challenged the personal criticism and questioned why commenters were judging her appearance rather than discussing the films.
Her selections included “Braveheart”, “The Lion King”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II” and the “Harry Potter” series. The interview brought the film’s star and director together to discuss their own viewing preferences.
Fox told Letterboxd that “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” had become her favourite instalment, replacing “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. She pointed to Snape’s character arc as a reason for her choice.

Kusama’s selections included “Valley Girl”, “Point Break” and “Velvet Goldmine”. She linked “Point Break” to her ambition to direct like Kathryn Bigelow and described “Velvet Goldmine” as shaping her understanding of filmmaking.
Their reunion centred on the 2009 horror film that developed a cult following after its original release. Fox plays Jennifer Check, while Amanda Seyfried portrays her best friend, Needy Lesnicki. Screenwriter Diablo Cody wrote the film.
Professor Tananarive Due moderated the museum’s discussion with Fox and Kusama. Its programme described the film’s growing audience and reassessment after its initially disappointing reception.

Separately, Fox began appearing in a campaign for healthcare company Ro’s prescription treatment, Ro Sparks, on October 1. She personifies the product in an advertisement that uses humour to discuss erectile dysfunction.
Fox told PEOPLE that she hoped the campaign could reduce stigma and make conversations about intimacy easier.
“I personally feel like maybe I was born for this,” she said.
