An accountability court in Quetta, earlier today granted a 14-day remand of former Balochistan Fiance Adviser Mir Khalid Langove to NAB.

After Balochistan High Court had rejected Langove’s pre-arrest bail request, after which he was arrested from within the court’s premises yesterday.

Mir Khalid Langove was brought to the accountability court today amid tight security. As judicial proceedings began, NAB requested a 14-day remand from the accountability court, which was granted. The court handed over custody of the former Balochistan Finance Adviser to NAB till June 7.

Previously, NAB had summoned Mir Khalid Langove three times yet the suspect had refused to appear before the bureau.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mir Khalid Langove had resigned as Balochistan Finance Adviser after Mushtaq Raisani, former Balochistan Finance Secretary, was arrested by NAB from his home. Rs. 730 million in the form of local and foreign currency were recovered from Raisani.
