Didier Deschamps named France’s World Cup squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with seven Premier League players in his 26-man list.
France will face Senegal, Iraq and Norway in Group I, according to FIFA. The tournament will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Premier League group includes Lucas Digne, Malo Gusto, Ibrahima Konaté, William Saliba, Rayan Cherki, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Maxence Lacroix.
Mateta earned selection ahead of Randal Kolo Muani. Lacroix also made the squad after receiving his first France call-up earlier in 2026.
Deschamps also picked Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Michael Olise and Maghnes Akliouche in attack. N’Golo Kanté also made the squad.

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga missed out after an injury-hit season. Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier also missed the list after losing regular club minutes.
Deschamps said sporting performance drove his decision. He said Chevalier had not played for several months and Camavinga had endured a difficult season.
Lens goalkeeper Robin Risser earned his first senior France call-up. Risser joins Mike Maignan and Brice Samba in the goalkeeping group.
Deschamps will leave France after the World Cup. He has led the national team since 2012.
