Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Saqib Nisar categorically ruled out any decision about formation of Judicial Commission on Panama papers in the absence of Chief Justice of Pakistan.
After the oath ceremony, acting CJP refused to make any comment on Panama leaks, which have put spotlight on offshore wealth of Sharif family and other Pakistanis, Justice Saqib Nisar said that Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali would decide about the commission on his return from Turkey.
“The letter has been addressed to the permanent chief justice,” he added
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of Pakistan where judges and senior lawyers were present.
Justice Saqib Nisar will serve as Acting Chief Justice till 1st May.
