The Azerbaijan-Russia commission on interparliamentary cooperation will hold its 25th meeting in Moscow in December 2026, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on July 17.
Lavrov announced the schedule after talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Russia’s capital, Moscow, in Eastern Europe.
The commission connects Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis with the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Its previous regular meeting took place on June 18 in Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital in the South Caucasus, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Lavrov said the two countries maintained active parliamentary dialogue and regular government contacts, including exchanges between their prime ministers.

The foreign ministries also signed a consultation plan covering 2026 and 2027 following the Lavrov-Bayramov talks, according to a separate. Officials had not announced a specific date or agenda for the December session.
