Corps commanders of the Pakistan army are meeting at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi earlier today with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in the chair.
The commanders expressed satisfaction over the progress made so far in the ongoing military operations in North Waziristan and Khyber agency.
The army chief also took the corps commanders into confidence over his recent visit to Kabul and said bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and security is increasing between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The meeting also reviewed the country’s internal security along the Line of Control (LoC) and working boundary.
Last week, General Raheel had also held a meeting with Afghan president Asharaf Ghani Ahmadzai and senior military leaders in Kabul to discuss the security issues concerning both the countries.
