Tehran: Araghchi foreign forces warning followed President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran had downed a U.S. Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said foreign forces near Iran’s territory faced risks from human error, accidents or crossfire.
“To reduce risk, the best solution is for them to leave,” Araghchi wrote on X. He said Iran preferred diplomacy but could “speak other languages too.”
Araghchi said the Strait of Hormuz was not international waters and was shared by Iran and Oman. He added that maritime boundaries in the area were “crystal clear.”

Araghchi said Iran’s Armed Forces remained on constant alert for any violation of the country’s airspace, land or waters.
Trump earlier said Tehran had downed a U.S. Apache helicopter in the area and said the United States would respond.
