Adam Azim is a British boxer of Pakistani descent who has made history by winning the World Super Lightweight Boxing Championship. The 21-year-old defeated reigning champion Lipi Nets in the ninth round of their match, securing a stunning victory that has earned him global recognition.

The match took a dramatic turn in the third round when Nets, growing impatient with his slow pressure tactics, increased his pace and became careless. This allowed Azim to land a powerful left hook, sending the 35-year-old Nets flat on his back in the middle of the ring. Despite Nets partially landing a counterpunch, Azim’s precision and strength proved decisive.

Azim’s Unbeaten Streak and Future Plans

Hailing from Kotli, Azad Kashmir, Adam Azim remains undefeated in his professional boxing career. His victory marks a significant milestone, not only for him but also for the global boxing community.

When asked about his next fight, Azim confidently stated, “Whatever my team suggests [I’ll do next], but you know what? Dalton Smith, you better be watching, my friend. You ain’t that good, my friend. I’m coming.”

Adam’s father, Mohammad Azim, expressed immense pride in his son’s achievement, calling it a moment of honour for their family, Pakistan, and the UK. He thanked Pakistani fans for their overwhelming support, noting that many had tuned in to watch the fight.

“Adam will continue to win more matches in the future,” Mohammad Azim declared confidently.

Amir Khan’s Praise and Plans

Former boxing champion Amir Khan also celebrated Azim’s victory, calling it a historic moment for Pakistan. Khan highlighted that Azim is the second Pakistani boxer to become a world champion in boxing, following in the footsteps of legends like himself.

“I am extremely proud of Adam, and I came from Dubai to support my brother,” Khan said. He also revealed plans to visit Pakistan soon with Azim to celebrate this remarkable achievement.
