PUNJAB, Pakistan: The Punjab government has opened Batch-III of the Punjab climate internship. The program offers selected graduates Rs60,000 per month for three months to work on climate and environmental initiatives.
Applications for the CM Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme (Phase-II) will remain open until September 18, 2026. This is according to the programme announcement.
The initiative is designed to give young graduates practical exposure, professional training and mentorship in climate action. Selection will be conducted through an automatic merit-based system, while learning opportunities will be offered across districts.
Selected interns will receive access to a Learning Management System (LMS) and UNCC Certification as part of the programme. Moreover, participants will gain exposure to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) field offices. They will also interact with units of the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EP&CCD).
The three-month internship includes work with strategic development, communications and climate policy teams, alongside expert mentorship and a Capstone Project.

The Punjab government has reserved 50% of the seats for female candidates and allocated a separate quota for foreign graduates.
Candidates can submit applications through the official Environment Protection Department portal at epd.punjab.gov.pk/ClimateInternship before the September 18 deadline.
