The Wall Street rebound lifted all three major U.S. indexes on September 2, with the Dow up 0.56%, the S&P 500 up 0.46% and the Nasdaq up 0.45%, Reuters reported.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 295.01 points to 53,061.89. The S&P 500 rose 35.16 points to 7,666.63, while the Nasdaq Composite added 118.05 points to close at 26,217.83, according to Reuters’ September 2 market data.

The gains marked a partial recovery from a three-day losing streak. Investors moved into stocks and sectors that had fallen during the recent risk-off trading period.

Small-cap stocks outperformed the broader market. The Russell 2000 rose 1.1%, while airlines, gold and silver miners, and regional banks led sector gains.

Technology shares also recovered. Nvidia (NVDA.O) rose 3.2%, Micron (MU.O) gained 2.4%, and Qualcomm (QCOM.O) advanced 2.0%, Reuters reported.

Dell (DELL.N) jumped 15.8% after the hardware company raised its annual revenue and profit forecasts. Brown-Forman (BFb.N), the maker of Jack Daniel’s, gained 3.9% after quarterly profit exceeded expectations.

However, a continuing global bond selloff limited the broader advance. Investors remained concerned about inflation, government debt and renewed U.S.-Iran fighting that has pushed energy prices higher.

Lauren Cassidy, chief investment officer at the Founders 100 ETF, told Reuters that markets were balancing geopolitical risks against strong corporate earnings and accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence.

Reuters also reported weaker-than-expected U.S. private-sector hiring in August and downward revisions to core capital-goods orders.
