ANKARA, Turkey: Iran Pahlavani wrestling team finished runner-up at the 2026 Karakucak World Pahlavani Wrestling Championships with 72 points and seven medals.
Iran won three gold, two silver and two bronze medals during the August 15-16 tournament. Competitors from 35 countries took part in the event.
Host nation Turkey won the team title with 85 points. Iran finished 13 points behind the champions. Azerbaijan placed third with 46 points, completing the top three in the team standings.
