The LEAs continued their all out operation against the notorious Choto gang of outlaws for the 20th consecutive day in riverine areas of Punjab’s Rajanpur district.
According to security sources, operation against the chotoo gang is currently ongoing amid curfew in kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur districts which will remain imposed from 8am to 5:30pm today.
Personnel of Pakistan Army have taken over the operation Zarb-e-Aahan.
Heavy army contingents are in the area using boats and helicopters. The law-enforcers are making efforts to capture the head of the gang live, encircling all possible exit points of the gangsters.
Officials claimed that Ghulam Rasool alias Chotoo, the head of the gang, has been surrounded.
Six policemen were killed in the operation when police surged forward to rescue 24 cops held hostage by the gang of heavily armed criminals on an island in the Indus River.
