At least two police personnel lost their lives while five others including two civilians were injured in an explosion in Quetta near the main entrance of Balochistan University earlier today.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has confirmed the death toll and number of injured people, saying that police check-post was target of the terrorists.
He said the rescue operation was completed and the injured were shifted to hospital.
Bomb disposal squad was determining the nature of the explosion, he said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area after the blast.
Several vehicles and motorcycles were damaged in the explosion.
