At least two persons were injured in a explosions near Habib university in Karachi on Monday evening.
According to police sources, three explosions were heard near Habib University, Pehlwan Goth. one of the eyewitness said that three mortar shells were fired on the university from empty plots.
DIG East Munir Sheikh while talking on local news channels said that search operation was launched to apprehend suspects.
However, spokesperson for Habib University Sibtain Naqvi denied reports of any firing on the campus, in a Facebook message he wrote.
“Everyone thank you for your concern but there is no ‘operation’ at Habib University. I am there right now on 2nd floor looking all around. There was some firing some distance away and our security and Rangers started to secure the campus. All journalists are requested to pass this on”.
