KARACHI: Shutter down strike is being observed in several cities of Sindh and other provinces on the second consecutive day against the murder of senior Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Khalid Mehmood Soomro, who was shot dead in Khosa Goth, Sukkur yesterday.
The strike is being observed in Othal, Bela, Shahdadkot, Kandhkot, Sukkur, Larkana, Dera Murad Jamali, osta Mohammad, Sibi, Karachi and other cities, where business activities are suspended while transport is also seen thin.
In Karachi, the JUI-F workers staged a protest against his murder at Mauripur Road, Shershah and Super Highway areas, where they blocked the roads, burnt tyres and chanted slogans.
