Prince William, the Prince of Wales, joked that he tried to move Travis Kelce out of a 2024 family selfie with Taylor Swift during a Friday appearance on The Graham Norton Show.
Host Graham Norton asked William whether he knew the significance of the backstage photograph when they took it. William said he only understood its importance later.
“I was trying to move him out of the photo,” William joked. He said Kelce kept returning to the frame while William wanted a picture with Swift, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Swift took the photograph backstage at her June 21, 2024, Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London. She later shared the image featuring Kelce and the three royals. It became the first public photograph of Swift and Kelce together

The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared another photograph from the meeting. That image showed Swift with William, George and Charlotte but not Kelce.
William has since developed a public friendship with the NFL player. He appeared on Kelce’s New Heights podcast in July.

During the same Graham Norton appearance, William discussed the Earthshot Prize and joked about an earlier attempt to become a DJ.
