The trailer of South superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated action packed, photorealistic film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ was revealed by Amitabh Bachchan recently. The curtain raiser also saw the presence of renowned director Shekhar Kapur who was called on the podium. He spoke about how impressed he was with the trailer and also praised the supreme efforts of debutant director Soundarya.
Amongst great applause, Kapur said, “I was telling your father, Soundarya, that he should be very proud of you. I first saw it when I was doing music with Rehman in his studio and I was stunned with what I saw. I told your father how wonderful it was and how proud he should be of you and then, having seen what I saw just now, I think we should all be very proud of you. We are all very, very proud of what you have achieved.”
The remarkable director concluded his speech with these words, “Congratulations! It’s wonderful, game changing and you are a fellow adventurer and I welcome you to the club.”
The renowned personalities gracing the event included Aishwarya Rai, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Subhash Ghai, R Balki, Anupam Kher and Ramesh Sippy, among others, who appreciated the work of the debutant director. The film stars Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone. Produced by Media One Entertainment and Eros International, ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ will be in theatres soon.
