A UK-bound Shaheen Airlines airplane had to make an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
The Islamabad-Manchester flight NL901 carrying 150 passengers and crew first tried to land in Lahore, but due to bad weather, it was diverted to Karachi.
According to sources, one of the plane’s tyres burst during departure and pilot was informed by the Control Tower.
The fire service was called at the airport to deal with any untoward situation.
The plane has made a safe landing, according to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The CAA statement further said all passengers and crew members were safe.
The airline had a similar accident in November last year when a plane was forced to crash land at an airport in Lahore after its tyres burst during lift-off from Karachi.
It landed at Lahore Airport, in the Pakistani capital of the nation’s Punjab province, with images showing it grounded off the runway in a patch of grass.
