Karachi: Death row prisoner Shafqat Hussain will be executed on Wednesday. He has been shifted from jail barracks to death cell.
According to reports, all the preparations have been made for hanging Shafqat Hussain death convict from Central prison Karachi. He will be hanged on May 6.
The execution of Shafqat Hussain was deferred under the pressure from NGOs and political parties. NGOs had raised objection that Shafqat Hussain was under age, when he was sentenced to death by the court.
A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was formed over this matter and in the perspective of JIT report; death warrants of Shafqat Hussain were again issued.
