As protestors continue sit-in outside the Parliament demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation, Sindh Assembly members belonging to Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have decided to submit their resignations today.
Senior PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Arif Alvi will reach Karachi today to submit resignations.
It may be mentioned here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has four seats out of the total 133.
Earlier on Friday, 34 PTI MNAs including Imran Khan resigned to step up pressure on the Nawaz Sharif government. However, the resignations do not affect the stability of the government which enjoys a majority with ruling PML-N having 190 members in a House of 342. Khan’s PTI is the third largest party in the National Assembly.
