The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to stage its power show in Rawalpindi today despite the security threats posed by intelligence authorities.
PTI was granted permission for a public rally in the garrison city on Friday, but the location was changed from Faizabad to Rehmanabad on Murree Road.
Imran Khan, leader of the PTI and former prime minister, will join his workers and ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’ marchers in Rawalpindi, where he will address a “huge” public gathering on the Murree Road.
Imran Khan will travel by helicopter from Lahore to Pindi, landing at the Agriculture University of Rawalpindi. Imran Khan will make his first public appearance since sustaining gunshot wounds during the long march in Wazirabad in early November.
