Due to high security threats in Islamabad, authorities have been directed for jamming the cellular services in and outskirts of the federal capital.
According to sources, PTA has issued the orders of suspending mobile phone services in the Red Zone of Islamabad and adjacent areas.

Telecom sources told that mobile phone services can be suspended anytime.
The government had blocked all the routes leading to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, including the GT Road and the Murree Express Way.
