The Sindh government banned pillion riding throughout the province in preparation for the Rabiul Awal 12 celebrations.

Through an official notification, the home department clarified that this ban would be in effect across all cities on both the 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. However, certain exceptions have been provided. Women, children under 12, senior citizens, uniformed members of law enforcement and security agencies, essential service workers, and media personnel will be exempted, granted they present the appropriate service or press identification.

Public Holiday Announcement

In conjunction with the above measures, the cabinet division notified a national public holiday on September 29 in honour of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, corresponding to the 12th Rabi ul Awwal.
