The Government of Pakistan condemns the two incidents of US drone strikes that took place near Miranshah in North Waziristan on 11 and 12 June, the Foreign Office stated.
According to the Foreign Office, these strikes are a violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Additionally, these strikes have a negative impact on the Government’s efforts to bring peace and stability in Pakistan and the region.” the ministry said.
At least sixteen people were killed within last 24 hours in two CIA-operated drone strikes in Pakistan s restive tribal region, as the USA resumed its controversial drone programme after a five-month hiatus.
