Pakistan earlier today condemned recent missile strikes that took place near Miranshah in North Waziristan and stated that these were a violation of its sovereignty.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Ms Tasnim Aslam, in her weekly briefing, said Pakistan had condemned the recent two incidents of missile strikes that took place near Miranshah in North Waziristan during the early hours of Wednesday.
“Pakistan regarded such strikes as a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” she said, adding that the strikes also hurt the government’s efforts to bring peace and stability to Pakistan and the region.
She said there was no link between these missile strikes and the military operation underway in North Waziristan.
