Olivia Rodrigo mural updates in Los Angeles have sparked new fan theories and Taylor Swift comparisons after fresh lyric-style phrases appeared on the wall.
The promotional wall at 7010 Melrose Avenue first showed “Why can’t you come stitch me up?” before changing to “it’ll never be the cure.”
Fans linked the phrases to Rodrigo’s third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.” The album is set for release on June 12, 2026, according to the source material.
The rollout has moved from purple tones toward pastel pink. As a result, some Taylor Swift fans compared it to Swift’s 2019 “Lover” era.
Rodrigo’s fans have read the two lines as a breakup arc. They see the first phrase as a plea for repair and the second as a harsher realisation.
However, the online reaction also turned sharp. The source material said some Swift fans accused Rodrigo of copying the mural-driven “Easter egg” style linked to Swift.
