Auja, Nigeria: Troops operating under Operation Fansan Yamma rescued 31 kidnap victims and killed five terrorists. The army confirmed the data in an official statement on Friday. Consequently, the coordinated security sweeps dismantled multiple insurgent camps across Zamfara and Katsina states.
Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba confirmed the developments. Osoba serves as the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 8th Division.
In Zamfara State, an aerial bombardment targeted active criminal hideouts west of the Bagega Forest. Subsequently, ground troops launched a sequential assault immediately after the airstrikes.
