The bench hearing the case of the disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, went through another change, as Justice Jawwad S. Khwaja once again re-joined it.
The three-judge bench is all set to hear today, different petitions seeking the disqualification of PM Sharif for his allegedly controversial statement at the floor of the Parliament regarding army’s role as a go-between between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
Justice Nasirul Mulk flew abroad on Friday night, dictating a change in the bench hearing the disqualification case. Therefore, acting chief justice, Justice Jawwad S. Khwaja will head the bench comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Musheer Alam.
It should be mentioned here that earlier Justice Khwaja distanced himself from the bench.
