The NCAA baseball bracket 2026 was released Monday, with UCLA named the No. 1 overall seed for the 64-team Division I championship.
The NCAA field sets up the Road to Omaha, where the Men’s College World Series will decide the national champion. Regionals begin Friday, May 29, at 16 host sites across the United States.
UCLA leads the top eight national seeds after holding the top spot for much of the season. Georgia Tech, Georgia, Auburn, North Carolina, Texas, Alabama and Florida complete the top eight, according to the selection announcement.
Regional play will use a double-elimination format from May 29 to June 1. Winners advance to best-of-three super regionals, scheduled from June 5 to June 8.
The Southeastern Conference has seven regional hosts: Georgia, Auburn, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, Mississippi State and Alabama. The Big Ten hosts regionals at UCLA, Oregon and Nebraska, while the Atlantic Coast Conference hosts at Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Florida State.
Kansas will host a regional for the first time in program history. Southern Miss is the only non-Power Four regional host.
LSU enters as the defending champion after sweeping Coastal Carolina in the 2025 finals. The Tigers won their eighth national title, while coach Jay Johnson became the fastest coach in college baseball history to win two championships at one school.

The championship series begins on ESPN Saturday, June 20. Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, on ABC.
