“Naya Pakistan will be here before next Eid,” claimed Imran Khan.
He also pressed the government to disregard political pressure and prosecute those arrested in Zahra Shahid’s murder.
Shahid, the central vice president of PTI, was shot dead outside her house in Karachi, hours before re-elections in some polling stations of NA-250 in May 2013.
“I have come to know that her killers have been arrested,” he said. “I demand they should be prosecuted even if they are a part of a political party.”
Imran said the government should not bow down before any pressure and urged the parties to identify and punish such elements within their ranks.
Imran also announced a rally in Sargodha for Friday, October 17. He added that arrangements for the stage will be directly under his command.
“It will be an organised stage, while the control of doors will also be under PTI,” he said.
