Samsung will shut down its Daily Plus smart TV hub after October 30, but users can continue accessing its individual apps through the standard Apps service.
An end-of-service notice appeared on a 2026 Samsung UHD Smart TV running the latest One UI Tizen firmware. Samsung has not given a reason for ending the service.
Daily Plus brings lifestyle, fitness, communication and smart-home services into one television dashboard. Samsung introduced the hub at CES 2024.
Once the hub closes, users will lose that central access point. The change may also affect personalised recommendations and discovery tools built specifically for Daily Plus.
Questions remain around Google Photos. Samsung recently integrated Google Photos with Daily Plus on eligible 2026 televisions.

The setup includes an automatically refreshed Memories row and a dedicated launcher. Samsung has not explained what will happen to those hub-specific features after the closure.
Samsung’s current support documentation lists Apps and Now Brief as alternative ways to launch Google Photos on supported 2026 TVs That suggests ending Daily Plus doesn’t necessarily remove the separate Google Photos experience.

Daily Plus supports select 2024 and newer TVs, compatible Smart Monitors and projectors. Some eligible 2023 models also received the service through an operating-system upgrade.
