Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted Rs275 billion to national exchequer following crackdown against corruption in the country.
NAB Spokesman said under self-accountability practice, the bureau also initiated action against its 83 officials, of them 22 were suspended and 34 awarded punishment over the past two and a half years.
The spokesman also rejected reports of pocketing the share by NAB officials from the money recovered from corrupts.
On Thursday, Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry also reiterated his resolve to continue the policy of zero tolerance against corruption within the department.
