Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard says bringing Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) to Nintendo Switch 2 is a decision for Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
Speaking to Variety, Pritchard declined to announce a version for Nintendo’s console. She said she had “nothing to announce on my end at this time”.
Rockstar’s official platform listing names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not include Switch 2.
Pritchard did not confirm development or provide a release window for a Nintendo edition.
Rockstar operates as a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., according to the company’s launch announcement. It has not released Grand Theft Auto V or Red Dead Redemption 2 on Switch 2 either.
However, the original Red Dead Redemption reached the console on December 2, 2025, alongside its Undead Nightmare expansion. Rockstar’s announcement described support for mouse controls and gameplay at 60 frames per second.

Rockstar’s support instructions say players can transfer saves from the earlier Nintendo Switch version. They must use the same Nintendo Account on both devices.
Rockstar’s official description places the story in Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida. It follows Jason and Lucia after a failed criminal job draws them into a wider conspiracy.
Take-Two’s launch announcement describes a single-player game. It lists the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. The latter adds vehicles, weapons, clothing and other content connected to the protagonists’ story.
Digital pre-loading begins on November 12. Rockstar has scheduled the game’s launch for November 19.
