A member of the MQM Rabitta Committee (RC) Dr. Faroq Sattar termed Aitzaz Ahsan’s statement as degrading, discriminatory and shocking and the same as of Khursheed Shah.
Addressing a press conference tonight, Dr. Farooq Sattar said Aitzaz Ahsan’s support to Khursheed Shah over his remarks about the term “Muhajir” have shocked the whole Muhajir community.
“Aitzaz is not only a parliamentary leader but also a sensible lawyer and matured person and we are not expecting such kind of stance from him”, he added.
On the other hand, a high level delegation of MQM will call on Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad earlier today.
During the meeting several issues including political situation of the country, PML-N and MQM working relationship and mega projects of Karachi will be discussed. MQM will demand the removal of Khursheed Shah from the post of NA opposition leader, sources said.
