Lahore/Islamabad: Widespread monsoon rain and thundershowers continued in Punjab, KPK, FATA and Azad Kashmir as Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast more downpour in the country during next 24 hours.
The heavy rain inundated law-lying areas in Lahore where 67 mm downpour was recorded on Monday, disrupting power supply and civic life in the city.
The monsoon showers are likely to continue for next couple of days.

Well marked seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending southeastwards. Monsoon currents are penetrating into central and upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next few days.

Heavy falls may occur at scattered places in Gujranwala and Lahore divisions.
