KARACHI: Two armed men robbed three residents sitting outside their homes in Nazimabad No. 1 and took mobile phones and other valuables before escaping on a motorcycle.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows one suspect taking the residents’ belongings. His accomplice kept the motorcycle running during the robbery.
Police said they had received the recording and were in contact with the victims. Investigators are trying to trace and arrest the suspects.
In a separate incident, two armed motorcycle riders intercepted a bike rider near Shaheed-e-Millat Road late Monday night. They took his mobile phone and cash at gunpoint, then fled. Afterwards, the rider sat by the roadside in tears. He said robbers had targeted him on two previous occasions.
He had bought the stolen phone for Rs25,000 two months earlier. Losing it left him worried about replacing the device and continuing his work. “How will I afford another mobile phone now?” he asked.
Speaking about his circumstances, the rider explained that he left home each day to earn money for his children. He sought justice over the robbery.
