Top civil and military leadership decided earlier today to step up operations against militants across Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided over the meeting, which reviewed overall security situation.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and other top officials also attended the meeting.
It was decided that temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) would be sent to their homes in phases.
Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan would be cleansed from every form of terrorism and extremism.
The leadership expressed satisfaction over achievements made in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan (NAP)
