Meta Platforms plans to test an AI pendant next year as it expands its wearable devices roadmap, The Information reported Friday, citing an internal memo.
The memo came from Alex Himel, Meta’s vice president of wearables, according to the report.
The Facebook and Instagram parent also plans to expand its AI glasses lineup. It also intends to launch a business-focused service called “Wearables for Work,” the report said.
Meta declined to comment when Reuters contacted the company. The push comes as Meta tries to strengthen Reality Labs, its hardware division.
Reality Labs posted a $4.03 billion loss in the first quarter on revenue of $402 million. Meta aims to sell 10 million wearable devices in the second half of 2026.
The company plans to use new product launches and wider international availability to reach that target, The Information reported.
